Marijuana may cause testicular cancer

Smoking is a danger factor for many cancers. Marijuana usage may boost the risk of mounting testicular cancer, in challenging a more forceful form of the disease. The analysis of 369 Seattle-area men ages 18 to 44 with testicular cancer and 979 men in the same age bracket without the disease institute that current marijuana users were 70 percent more likely to develop it compared to nonusers. Even if a man has one or more peril factors for this disease, it is impractical to know for sure how much that risk factor bestows to growing the cancer. Also, the majority men with testicular cancer do not have any of the known risks. The disease is seen more normally in men who have had an undescended testicle or have a family history of testicular cancer. The disease typically responds well to treatment and has a five-year survival rate of about 96 percent, according to the American Cancer Society. Different cancers have different risk factors.
